On November 12, 2020 PeopleRight sent a survey request to 46 different hiring managers in 9 different companies who were either regular or recent users (or both) of our tools.
All were told in the invitation that their company would receive one free assessment if they completed the survey. To limit our exposure for giving away too many assessments, we didn’t send the survey to every client or hiring Manager. 😉 We wanted a good number to respond, but we didn’t want to go broke.
Those who had not yet responded were sent a reminder on November 23rd to complete the survey by Dec 1.
As of Dec 1, six companies (67%) and 17 managers (37%) had responded with completed surveys. Of the companies that responded, some had become clients in the last year, and some have been clients for 18 years (or since PeopleRight started business).
Some of the questions in the survey contained client demographic information, which is why you don’t see ALL of the questions listed below.
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- While 2/3 company response rate is not bad, maybe we would have gotten more responses from Managers if we had not asked during the holiday season.
- All companies who responded will receive notice of their complementary assessments in December.
All knew what benchmarks they were using, but more than half didn’t know (or didn’t say they knew) when they were last updated.
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- PeopleRight will offer follow-up calls to all respondents, and we will provide this information in those follow-up calls.
95% said they couldn’t live without it or that it was very useful 😊
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- No actions planned at this point
58.8% responded that they were Above average
35.2% said they were average
5.8% said they had some skills to use the tools
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- It is good that nearly 95% of respondents are Average or above, showing they are competent and confident to use the tools, but there appears to be room for improvement here.
- If respondents take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we will discuss additional training options.
41% track performance of the tool usage
59% do not track performance
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- If they aren’t tracking because they KNOW it is helping them make better people decisions, then we have no problem. But even then, having more information could help cement the consistency of usage and improve the business results even more.
- If they aren’t tracking because they don’t know how to track it, there is opportunity for improvement here.
- If respondents take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we will discuss additional tracking methods.
69% would like to talk about how they could track performance (or track it better)
31% did not want to talk about performance tracking using the tools
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
(See comments above from question #12)
71% said they had attended training by PeopleRight
29% said they had not
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- Actually, we are aware that 88% have attended training sessions and 12% may have not. The fact that people don’t remember being in training sessions could be an issue. ☹
56% said they would like to receive additional training
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- If respondents take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we will discuss additional training opportunities.
87.5% have had a personal debrief
12.% have not had personal debrief
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- This is usually done with new clients/users during the first training/results review session. We need to be more consistent that it ALWAYS happens – OR be better at circling back with new hiring managers who have not received this feedback. If respondents take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we will discuss additional training opportunities.
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- This looks like a good start, but for those respondents take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we will discuss additional training opportunities with those who would like more training.
Average of all answers was 60%
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- This was kind of a trick question, and maybe a little bit unclear. And the respondents’ answers could depend on several other variables. In the Interview Report it states that assessment results should not account for more than 30% of the hiring decision, but if the respondent was answering from the perspective of how much they trust the results from the assessment, then higher numbers are obviously good. 😊
- If respondents take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we can discuss this in more detail.
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- This is obviously an area for significant potential added benefits (with no additional costs).
- If respondents take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we will discuss additional ways that information from the Coaching Reports can be used.
41% have a Team Report
59% do not have a Team Report
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- This is an opportunity for additional benefits from the assessments for clients (at no additional costs).
- If respondents take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we will discuss your organization and see who has completed the assessment (we can’t add their results to a Team Report unless they have completed the assessment.
PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- This is an opportunity for additional benefits from the assessments for clients (at no additional costs). At one time these reports did require an additional fee – but that is no longer the case.
- If respondents take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we can review these reports and discuss how you might use them in the future.
ALL respondents said we respond within 24 hours 100% of the time. 😊

PeopleRight Comments/Actions planned:
- This was intended to identify other areas where we could improve, but all the responses were in areas that were discussed or included above – so we take that that as a positive that there were no surprises.
- We recognize the opportunities to provide additional training. For respondents who take advantage of the follow-up call offer, we can figure out how we can best meet your needs.
There were NO responses for what we should STOP doing. 😊
Variety of responses here, but all were complimentary for using or recommending PeopleRight. 😊
There were NO responses for what we didn’t ask. 😊
